The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Jullundur Gymkhana Club, which was scheduled to be held on March 14, has been postponed with no fresh date announced so far, and the postponement is expected to push forward the club’s election schedule as well. According to officials, the decision was taken as Ramvir, Divisional Commissioner of Jalandhar, is currently occupied with the Punjab Investment Summit.
Earlier, it was expected that the club’s management election date would be announced during the meeting, due the which the AGM was much anticipated. As per club norms, elections must be conducted within 45 days after the AGM, meaning the management polls were likely to take place by the last week of April.
With the AGM now postponed, the timeline for announcing and conducting the club’s management elections is also expected to be pushed further, however officials have not yet confirmed the new date for the meeting yet.
