In the view of Republic Day falling just after the weekend, some markets in Jalandhar will remain closed on January 25 and January 26. So, all the electronic shops located at the following locations will remain closed:
1. Phagwara Gate
2. Milap Road
3. Chahar Bagh
4. Bhagat Singh Chowk
5. Sher-e-Punjab Market
6. Hong Kong Market
7. Panjpir Chowk
And some other nearby markets will remain closed on January 25 and January 26.
The information regarding the closure was confirmed by Amit Sehgal and Baljit Singh Ahluwalia, presidents of the Phagwara Gate Electrical Dealers Association and the Electronics welfare society, respectively. Currently, various organizations in the city have been preparing for the Republic Day celebrations.
