Punjab is preparing for another scorching day as temperatures across several cities are expected to rise dangerously close to 45°C tomorrow. The ongoing heatwave has already pushed temperatures to extreme levels across North India, with Punjab emerging among the hottest regions in the country.
According to weather forecasts, Jalandhar and Ludhiana are likely to touch nearly 45°C tomorrow, while Amritsar may remain around 44°C. Southern Punjab districts including Bathinda, Faridkot, Fazilka and Muktsar are also expected to remain under severe heatwave conditions.
Forecast temperatures for tomorrow include:
* Jalandhar — around 45°C
* Ludhiana — around 45°C
* Amritsar — around 44°C
* Bathinda — likely above 44°C
* Faridkot — near 45°C
Meteorologists say dry winds, clear skies and the ongoing “Nautapa” heat cycle are intensifying temperatures across Punjab. In recent days, several Punjab cities have recorded temperatures matching parts of Rajasthan.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised residents to avoid outdoor exposure during afternoon hours, stay hydrated and take precautions against heatstroke, especially children and elderly people.
