Mann Government’s Vision: Punjab’s youth to become job givers, not just job seekers

Mann Government's vision is to make young people not merely job seekers but job givers, laying the foundation for a vibrant and prosperous ‘Rangla Punjab’.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is ushering in a revolutionary era in the state’s education system, aiming to transform the destiny of the youth.

The government’s clear vision is to make young people not merely job seekers but job givers, laying the foundation for a vibrant and prosperous ‘Rangla Punjab’.

Central to the Mann Government’s policies is “equality of opportunity”. Students in the Schools of Eminence, established with an investment of ₹231.74 crore, are provided free uniforms and bus services, particularly benefiting girl students.

During his visit to the School of Eminence in Morinda, the Chief Minister highlighted that these “modern temples of learning” are restoring parents’ confidence in the public education system.

Recognizing that school education alone is insufficient in today’s competitive era, the Schools of Eminence are offering specialized coaching for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, NIFT, and defence services.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that this initiative equips Punjab’s youth to compete globally and prepare for future challenges.

The results of these reforms are evident. According to the Chief Minister, 265 students from government schools cleared JEE Mains, 74 qualified JEE Advanced, and 848 cracked NEET. This outstanding achievement demonstrates that with proper guidance and facilities, Punjab’s youth can excel at the national level.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that his government is not only taking unprecedented steps to provide employment opportunities but is also channelizing the youth’s boundless energy towards constructive growth. The focus is on encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs, innovators, and active contributors to the state’s economic development.

To further enhance education and cultivate leadership skills, the ‘School Mentorship Program’ has been launched. Under this program, senior state officials mentor government school students, offering real-world exposure, guidance, and motivation, preparing them to become confident, future-ready leaders.

The Mann Government firmly believes that education is the most powerful form of empowerment. These reforms are not just administrative changes — they are a revolution that shifts youth from a job-seeking mindset to one of capability, confidence, and contribution. With these initiatives, Punjab’s future shines bright, nurturing a generation that will actively participate in building a strong, self-reliant, and ‘Rangla Punjab’.

This transformative step is set to give new momentum to the state’s journey of development.
