Meet 'Pagri Pride': The Punjab expert who styled iconic Baloch-style turbans in Dhurandhar 2

Balwinder Singh was specially invited to the film’s Ladakh shoot where he styled traditional Balochi turbans for actors like Ranveer, Akshaye & others

If you’ve watched ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ then you may have noticed the distinctive Baloch-style turbans worn by several characters in the movie as on one side many focused on the story and action these traditional headwear pieces also caught attention for their authentic look. The man behind this detail is Balwinder Singh a Punjab-based turban expert popularly known as Pagri Pride or the ‘Pagri Man’.

Balwinder Singh was specially invited to the film’s Ladakh shoot where he styled traditional Balochi turbans for actors like Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna along with other cast members and to be part of the shoot he travelled long distances by train and flight showing his dedication to getting every detail right. His job was to make sure the turbans looked exactly like those worn in real Baloch communities especially for important scenes in the film.

Behind the scenes glimpses also show how he carefully combined his expertise in Sikh turban styling with Baloch traditions, creating a look that felt both accurate and natural on screen.

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and released on March 19, 2026 is already getting attention for its scale and storytelling but details like these show the effort put into making it visually and culturally authentic and Balwinder Singh’s work is now being appreciated as an important part of the film proving that even small details like a turban can make a big difference in bringing a story to life.
