

The film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh is performing strongly at the box office and the film’s storyline is garnering laurels among audiences with several supporting actors also receiving praise for their performances.
One such name is Udaybir Sandhu who plays the character ‘Pinda’ also known as Gurbaaz Singh in the film.
In the movie Gurbaaz Singh (Pinda) is shown as the childhood friend of Jaskirat Singh Rangi played by Ranveer Singh and the story is set in Punjab where their bond eventually turns complicated.
Pinda is also linked to a drug network in the film and plays an important role in the storyline and his character sees a major shift going from being a close friend to becoming an opponent of Ranveer Singh’s character.
A key dialogue by Pinda “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe Jassi?” comes at a turning point and changes the direction of the story and has been etched in the audience’s mind.
Udaybir Sandhu who mentions Tarn Taran in his Instagram bio is originally from Punjab and has been gaining attention for his strong screen presence and clear Punjabi diction. For this role he underwent a major physical transformation and gained and later lost around 15 kg to portray both a younger (20-year-old) and older (40-year-old) version of the same character. He shared that the role required discipline and intense effort and thanked casting director Mukesh Chhabra for trusting him with the role and supporting him throughout his journey.
Udaybir made his Bollywood debut with Gold starring Akshay Kumar and later appeared in Amar Singh Chamkila directed by Imtiaz Ali alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra. Apart from this, he has also worked in projects like Ikk Kudi with Shehnaaz Gill and has experience in modelling both in India and South Africa.
With ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Udaybir Sandhu has managed to grab attention especially for his impactful role as Pinda making him one of the standout supporting actors in the film.
