The murder case of Punjab-origin social media influencer Nancy Grewal has taken a dramatic turn after her mother Shinder Kaur Grewal issued an emotional clarification on social media, saying she is still in deep shock following her daughter’s death.
In her message, Shinder Kaur said that she had earlier mentioned some names while talking to people but added that she did so only after many people were saying those names in their conversation over a phone call. She said she is mentally disturbed after the tragic loss of her daughter.
“I am in shock after my daughter’s death. People kept calling me and asking me to take certain names, and I repeated them. I have no personal enmity with anyone,” she said in her post on social media. Shinder Kaur also apologized for mentioning anyone’s name in her earlier message and said she did not mean to falsely accuse anyone.
The mother who lost her daughter said that she hopes that the police investigation will soon reveal the truth behind her daughter’s murder.
Meanwhile, in the case involving the Nihang leader Harjeet Singh Rasoolpur, who had earlier spoken in support of Nancy, it has now been reported that he has allegedly received a threat message from individuals claiming affiliation with the banned militant group Babbar Khalsa International.
The threatening message was allegedly sent by an individual who claimed to be none other than Maninder Billa. In the message, the caller asked Rasoolpur to keep quiet about the case and threatened to put IEDs at his home if he continued speaking publicly about the case.
The message further claimed previous attacks and warned of dire consequences if the Nihang leader continued speaking about Sikh martyrs or the case of Nancy Grewal.
The police are yet to confirm the authenticity of the threat message. The investigation into the murder case and the intimidation is still in progress.
The case has been widely discussed in Punjab and on social media, with many urging a quick investigation into the murder of Nancy Grewal.
