A devastating accident is being reported from Kapurthala that unfolded on Thursday morning. A young man reportedly lost his life in this accident. The incident occurred around 9:08 AM at Circular road, where two motorcycles collided head-on.
After the collision, both the riders lost control and fell on the ground. This is when a truck that was coming from behind mowed down one of the riders and crushed his head under its rear tyre. The man sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. Upon receiving the information, the SSF, PCR and City Police was rushed to the spot to assist the ones involved the accident. The body of the deceased was collected from the scene and shifted to the mortuary of Civil Hospital in Kapurthala.
A probe has been initiated into this matter. The deceased has been identified as Gaurav, son of Lalchand, a resident of Purana Dana Mandi, Kapurthala. Gaurav, just like any other day, had left his home for work. The other person involved in the accident has been identified as Harsh Pandit, a resident of Dashmesh Colony. Currently, the case is under probe.
