For those who are unaware, 'World Cup winning' Indian Women's Team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is a resident of Moga. She is currently working as DSP in Punjab Police. She was given this post during Captain Amarinder Singh's Congress government as a mark of respect for her excellent performance in the 2017 Women's World Cup and the team's runner-up position.
Earlier, Harmanpreet had applied for recruitment in Punjab Police in 2011, but could not get selected at that time. Later, after the 2017 World Cup, she was appointed as DSP.
