Punjab police trace AAP sarpanch killers to Raipur, two shooters in custody

Currently, a wider probe is on into the murder conspiracy and a hunt is on for the other possible members involved.

Punjab police along with Raipur police have nabbed two shooters involved in the murder of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sarpanch in Amritsar. Following the incident, the accused had fled to Chhattisgarh and were hiding at their relatives’ house in Raipur.

As per reports, the technical intelligence and location tracking team led the Punjab police to trace them to their hideout in Raipur. The probe lead them to Rishabh Apartment in Rajendra Nagar. Upon receiving a conformation regarding the location, the Punjab and Raipur police team conducted a raid and successfully apprehended the accused.

During the raid, shooters Sukhraj and Karamveer were taken into police custody from the Rishabh Apartment. The Punjab police have produced the shooters before a court in Rajpur and taken them to Amritsar on Transit remand. Currently, the Raipur police are questioning the schooters’ relatives, and a wider probe is on into the murder conspiracy and a hunt is on for the other possible members involved.
