The recent case of AAP Sarpanch Jarmal Singh being shot dead in Amritsar sees another twist as a post emerges on social media claiming the responsibility of the same, names Gangster Doni Ball along with Prabh Dasuwal, Afridi Tutt, Muhbat Randhawa, Amar Khabe and Pawan Shakeen. The post further claims that the sarpanch was responsible for demolition of the gangster’s house. He adds that the plan was executed by Ganga Thakpuria. The gangster claims to have attacked the sarpanch twice earlier too, where he escaped unharmed.
AAP Sarpanch Jarmal Singh, of Valtoha village in Tarn Taran district was attacked while he went to attend a wedding ceremony. Initial reports indicate that two unknown assailants shot Jarmal Singh in the head while he was sitting in the wedding ceremony attending the festivities. Both the attackers managed to escape the crime scene after firing the bullets. As per reports, the sarpanch was getting ransom demands and threats were being made. A complaint was also filled with the police regarding the same.
Police reached the spot and immediately started the investigation. The wedding ceremony was taking place at Marigold resort on the Verka Bypass in Amritsar. The Sarpanch died on the spot after being hit by the bullets. The attendees share that the grooms side was from Dina Nagar, the brides family was from Amarkot Village in Amritsar, the sarpanch was accompanying the bride’s family. It is being reported that MLA Sarvan Singh Dhun was also present at the wedding ceremony.
As soon as the police reached the spot, they initiated the probe. DCP Jagjit Singh Walia confirms while addressing the media that the police received information about shots being fired in a resort, after reaching the spot the police discovered that the sarpanch was hit by two bullets and had succumbed to injuries. Police assures that a through investigation is taking place in the matter and CCTV footage is also being probed. They assured of timely action in the case.
