With the advent of December 2025, Punjab has been witnessing chilling winters, especially during the night-time and early morning. In most districts, the day-time temperature is remaining in the 20s (°C), while in the night-time the temperature is being recorded in single digit.
The extent of cold in Punjab can be understood by the fact that its lowest temperature is being recorded at 3°C and sometimes even lower.
As per IMD Chandigarh, Faridkot was the coldest district of Punjab on December 2 at 3°C. Other districts also witnessed a similar kind of chilling weather in the night-time and early morning.
Apart from Faridkot, below is the list of Punjab districts and lowest temperature they registered on December 2-
Amritsar-6.3°C
Ludhiana- 4.2°C
Patiala- 6.5°C
Pathankot- 6.2°C
Bathinda- 4.2°C
Gurdaspur- 5.8°C
SBS Nagar- 6.7°C
Ropar- 6.7°C
Notably, multiple districts of Punjab are currently witnessing sunny days during the afternoon. As a result, Punjab Weather during the day-time winter is not very intense including in Jalandhar.
However, this may soon change as AccuWeather predicts that cloudy weather is approaching Jalandhar.
As per AccuWeather, Jalandhar will start to witness cloudy weather during the day-time from December 16.
On December 16, there will 64 percent cloud cover in Jalandhar and there are 25 percent chances of rainfall.
On December 17, there will be 98 percent of cloud cover and 25 percent chances of rainfall.
Similar conditions will be visible till December 20, 2025.
The Sun will finally come out on December 21, however, the weather is again expected to turn overcast from December 22, 2025.
