Here is the detailed information about the weekly rainfall forecast by IMD -

July 19, 2025

Saturday

According to the latest prediction, on Saturday, there will be NO rainfall across the state.

July 20, 2025

Sunday

On Sunday, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, and Rupnagar are expected to witness thunderstorms and rainfall. However, other districts or regions of the state will not witness rainfall.

July 21, 2025

Monday

The rain intensity will increase to very heavy to heavy on Monday.

Very Heavy - Regions including Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar (Mohali), and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Heavy - Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Kaputhala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Patiala

Tuesday

A few regions will continue to witness heavy to moderate rainfall on Tuesday as well.

Heavy to moderate - Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala.

Wednesday

According to the latest prediction, there will be NO rainfall across the state.

Along with this, IMD has also shared certain measures regarding heavy to very heavy rainfall, which is predicted on July 21, 2025.

The measures by IMD read:

• Damage to standing crops.

• Damage to harvested crops lying in the open.

• Water logging of low-lying areas.

• Rise in water level in seasonal streams and rivers.

• Closures of some underpasses.

• Short-term Disruptions of Municipal services (Water, Electricity, etc

• Damage to weak structures

• Traffic congestion due to waterlogging, slippery roads, and low visibility may lead to increased travel time.

• Do not apply irrigation / chemical spray. Maintain proper drainage of the field and remove stagnant rainwater immediately

• Don't keep harvested crops in the open.

• Make arrangements for drainage of excess water.

• Avoid venturing into waterlogged areas.

• Don't stand near weak structures.

• Avoid application of Fertilizers and Pesticides.

• Drive carefully during rain.

• Don't go near water bodies

• Avoid taking shelter in weak structures during thunderstorms.
