The India Meteorological Department (IMD), before the start of July 2025, had predicted that North India, including Punjab, would witness above normal rainfall. Monsoon in Punjab was expected to be stronger after the advent of Saawan 2025. However, the majority of districts of Punjab are witnessing isolated rainfalls and not incessant rain.
In the meantime, IMD Chandigarh on Tuesday made a new Punjab Rainfall Prediction. As per the prediction, multiple districts of Punjab will witness 3 days of heavy rainfall.

As per IMD Chandigarh daily temperature readings, Rupnagar was the hottest on July 14 at 37.9°C. Amritsar was 30.4°C, Ludhiana- 30.8°C, Pathankot-33.8°C, Bathinda- 28.6°C, Faridkot- 29.5°C, Gurdaspur- 29.5°C, etc.
