Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has achieved a major breakthrough in regards to the murder case of Kabaddi Promoter Kanwar Digvijay Singh alias Rana Balachauria. As per official reports, three accused, including two shooters have been apprehended from West Bengal. The accused were traced to Howrah, a city located in West Bengal.
The arrested shooters have been identified as Karan Pathak and Tarandeep Singh, the third accused identified as Akashdeep, is said to be a close associate of a foreign based handler. The police were able to track them successfully through CCTV footage and digital trails they left behind.
As per reports, after committing the crime, the accused had travelled through multiple locations, leaping through Mumbai, Bangalore, Siliguri and Sikkim before they finally reached Howrah.
Currently, the police is probing the matter further and an interrogation would be held after their arrival in Punjab.
As per reports, the victim, Kabaddi Promoter Kanwar Digvijay Singh alias Rana Balachauria was shot dead during a Kabaddi tournament at Sohana in SAS Nagar on December 15, 2025 by some assailants. As of now, a total of five accused involved in the case have been arrested.
