An important development related to the infrastructure and urban development of Jalandhar has come to light. Due to the special efforts of Nitin Kohli, Senior Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and Jalandhar Central Halka In-charge, the long-pending construction work of the busy road from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk (Nakodar Chowk) to Kapurthala Chowk has finally resumed.
The road construction work had been stalled for a long time due to the ongoing Surface Water Project, which caused significant inconvenience to local residents, shopkeepers, traders, and thousands of commuters who pass through the route daily. The poor condition of the road had also led to traffic congestion and serious difficulties in transportation.
It is noteworthy that the construction work of this road was originally expected to be completed by Diwali last year, but several technical issues that emerged during the execution of the Surface Water Project resulted in delays.
However, due to the continuous efforts of Nitin Kohli, along with regular meetings with the concerned departments and consistent follow-ups, the stalled project has now been brought back on track and the construction work has officially resumed.
With the resumption of the work, a wave of relief and happiness has been witnessed among residents, shopkeepers, business establishments, and various local societies in the area. People openly appreciated the step and said that restarting this long-delayed project is a major relief for the locality.
Local residents and members of the trading community praised Nitin Kohli for his persistent efforts and said that the project could only resume due to his continuous intervention and commitment to resolving public issues. They expressed hope that once completed, the road will significantly improve traffic movement and boost commercial activities in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Kohli said that ensuring basic civic amenities for the people has always been his top priority. He emphasized that whenever development works face obstacles, it becomes the responsibility of public representatives to ensure that such issues are resolved promptly.
He further stated that strengthening basic infrastructure such as roads, drinking water facilities, sanitation, and traffic management is essential for the overall development of Jalandhar. Efforts are continuously being made to improve these facilities for the convenience of citizens.
Nitin Kohli also added that he remains committed to accelerating development works across Jalandhar Central and that several more important projects will be undertaken in the near future for the benefit of the public.
He reiterated that his vision is not only to initiate development projects but also to transform Jalandhar into a clean, well-equipped, and modern city with better civic infrastructure and improved public facilities.
