Shots fired at NRI's home near Bhogpur in Jalandhar, family feud angle emerges

It was revealed by Manjit Singh to the police that, his nephew could have been involved in the firing incident.

A firing incident has been reported from Jalandhar, near Bhogpur where the house of NRI Manjat Singh in Bhatnura Lubana village was targeted. As per reports the incident occurred at 1:52 AM on Wednesday night when two young men riding a motorcycle opened fire at the home of the NRI. Both the men fled the scene after carrying out the shooting.

Currently, the police are investigating the matter and as per the preliminary investigations, it was revealed by Manjit Singh that, his nephew could have been involved in the firing. Manjit Singh discloses to the police that his nephew, Shamsher Singh lives in the United States and that he is not in touch with him. Apparently, there has been some family dispute going on among them, where the nephew called his mother, who lives in Kapurthala and told her to not attend the wedding that is scheduled to take place. Reportedly, the accused in conversation with her mother said that he would order firing at anyone who attends the wedding.

Currently, the police are investigating the matter and probing Manjit’s allegations and CCTV footage from nearby surveillance cameras is being looked into to identify the culprits.
