Trains from Punjab to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi devotees can board for Navratri 2025

With the start of Navratri 2025, trains from Punjab to Katra have started to return to normalcy as well.

With the start of Navratri 2025 and normalcy returning to Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir, devotees may head to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi. Notably, due to Punjab Floods and similar conditions in Jammu & Kashmir, many trains have been cancelled that go to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi.

Now, with the start of Navratri 2025, trains from Punjab to Katra have started to return to normalcy as well. Below is a list of trains from Punjab to Katra that have now returned to its normal schedule and hence devotees can opt for these trains for their travel-

Punjab to Katra Trains for Navratri 2025

The 12919 Malwa Express, which had been diverted from Ambala for a long time. Now, it has resumed operations to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, bringing relief to passengers.

Notably, the Malwa Express originates from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar and stops at stations like Khanna, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar Cantt in Punjab. It's final destination is Katra.

Similarly, the 12238 Begumpura Express, that runs from Jammu Tawi, has also resumed operations. Previously, the same train was diverted from Ludhiana. Notably, it has scheduled stoppages at Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Pathankot Cantt, Mukerian, etc.

The 12919 train from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra arrived at Jalandhar Cantt at 11:45 am, nearly an hour and a quarter behind its scheduled departure time of 10:30 am.

Meanwhile, the 15707 Amrapali Express, which had been delayed for several days, arrived at City Station on time on September 22.

Similarly, the 12238 Begumpura-Varanasi Express arrived at Jalandhar Cantt Station on its first day of operation, approximately one hour behind its scheduled departure time of 5:25 pm.

Trains that are yet to resume at their original schedule

Various trains on the Jammu route remain cancelled, and passengers are awaiting their resumption.

As per reports, trains such as 19027, 22432, 22402, 14610, and 22461 are suspended on the Jammu route.

Vande Bharat Express 26405/2605, running on the Amritsar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra route, is cancelled until further orders.
