A devastating news is emerging from Bhogpur in Jalandhar, where dead bodies of two youths have been recovered. The deceased have been identified as Gopesh and Arshpreet. As per reports, both the boys were minors. The Bhogpur police recovered the bodies and they were handed over to the families after a through post-mortem examination was conducted at the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar.
One of the deceased Arshpreet Singh’s uncle Jagdeep says that he suspects foul play and believes that both the young boys were murdered. Allegedly, Arshpreet and Gopesh had left on their motorcycle on the night of Lohri and did not return. The families tried to reach out to them on their mobile phones but none of them answered. The family looked for them the next day but were unable to trace them. On the evening of January 15 after 8:00 PM, the family received information that two youths had fallen on the Ittanbadhi link road. The police were informed about the incident. After arriving at the scene, the police collected their bodies and took them to a government hospital in Bhogpur where the doctors declared them brought dead.
The family has suspected that both the youths were murdered. Allegedly, both the boys had received a phone call, after which both went on to meet that person and did not return. The family demands an investigation into the matter and requests that the incident must be treated as murder probe and not an accident.
Arshpreet’s uncle Jagdeep says that Arshpreet had dropped out of school and was not working as of now. Both the youths studied together and knew each other. Arshpreet’s father works in Lebanon and he was living here with his mother Manjit Kaur. Arshdeep also has an elder sister and a brother. As per reports Arshdeep was only 17 years old and his father was planning to settle him abroad.
The death has left the families grieving and in shook. The bodies were found around 5 kms away from their homes and their motorcycles and mobile phones were neither damaged nor stolen.
The family alleges that both the victims had injuries on their head and forehead and showed signs of being attacked with some sort of sharp weapon. As per reports, the victim’s motorcycle was found lying on the ground at the scene of the incident, however no damage to the bike was reported.
As of now, Bhogpur police officer Surinder Singh had registered a case of accident, however that family is demanding that a murder probe must be initiated. Arshdeep’s uncle Jagdeep claims that the two victims had allegedly been involved in a dispute with some young men from Dabri village. The family demands the probe must the conducted from the murder point of view. The family alleges that both the deceased had deep cuts and wounds on their head and forehead and were murdered brutally. They further allege that all this was a part of a larger pre-planned murder conspiracy.
