A fire incident is being reported from Jalandhar’s Model Town. The area, considered to be one of the busiest and most upscale areas in the city, was gripped in panic when a silver showroom caught fire. It is being reported that goods worth lakhs were gutted in this fire. The silver showroom was located near KFC. It is being reported that the flames from the fire were so intense that the smoke blanketed the entire surrounding area, causing panic among the masses.
As per initial reports, the fire is expected to have caused losses worth of Lakhs of rupee. Fortunately, there are no reports of any causalities in the fire. The fire is said to have broken out late at night.
The eyewitnesses say that the smoke from the fire was initially very minimal, but just within minutes, the fire got so intense that it engulfed the entire shop within minutes. The visuals caused panic among the shopkeepers and the passers-by.
Locals immediately informed the fire department about the fire. Fire tenders, upon receiving the information, reached the spot and immediately took charge of the situation. It took a lot of efforts of the fire brigade team to extinguish the fire from spreading further to other shops and the surrounding residential buildings.
As of now, no reports of any injuries or fatalities is coming from the incident, however, goods worth lakhs of rupees are said to have been destroyed in the fire. The shop owner and the administration are currently assessing the exact extent of the damage caused by the fire. It is being reported that even after the fire was extinguished, the smoke continued to emerge from the shop for a considerable amount of time.
