Citizens are posting photos and videos of the earlier earthquake and tsunami claiming that it is the one of Wednesday's earthquake.

History’s one of the shocking earthquakes that hit Russia today, nearing 8.7 magnitude, has caused a tsunami warning in Alaska, Japan, Hawaii and some parts of New Zealand. But there is even another tsunami that has conquered social media, it is waves of false videos and pictures.

Citizens are posting photos and videos of the earlier earthquake and tsunami claiming that it is the one of Wednesday's earthquake. There is one such video going around the social media which depicts two individuals working on a shore very far inland in the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia.

The beluga whales that were stranded have cited ties to Russia earthquake and tsunami in the falsehoods.

In a video, five beluga whales are located on the shore of Russia with emergency workers nearby them. According to the captions in some of the posts, the whales had washed ashore after the big earthquake and they got stranded due to high tide. Some emphasized them as indicators of bad omen citing that they were observed a few days ago and were an indicator of the earthquake and tsunami.

Grok elucidated that this occurred almost two years ago on August 14, 2023. The video is on the coast of Kamchatka, Russia and the stranded whales were most probably due to high tide caused by tsunami or an earthquake.

Another such video shows, the water in the ocean begins to flow up and the waves come and beat on the shore and in just a minute, they cover most of the land, dashing against the ground heavily. The two men begin to sprint away and the cameraman who is taking the video also begins to flee his camera shaking. Viewers complained that it is an old clip and they had watched it months back. Once more we do not know the date, or even more, the event.
