The relationship between India and the United States are currently topsy-turvy. People in India and Geopolitical experts have warned New Delhi to not to trust the United States. Despite Donald Trump's close relationship with PM Narendra Modi, not all is well between India and the US.
America's image in India has come become Pro-Pakistan after Operation Sindoor. Trump not only announced ceasefire between India and Pakistan but also claimed that he mediated the peace talks between the countries.
Not only this, but Trump also proposed that the US can act as a mediator in the Kashmir issue which Pakistan always wanted. However, India has rejected the offer and PM Modi during Operation Sindoor debate rejected the claims saying that 'no other country or leader mediated the India-Pakistan ceasefire'.
A letter allegedly from Donald Trump to Pro-Khalistan terrorist and Sikh For Justice (SFJ) Founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is going viral.
In the letter, Trump allegedly thanks India's Most Wanted over 'America First' policy.
Mr. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun East Elmhurst, New York Dear Mr. Pannun, Thank you for taking the time to share your views regarding America’s role on the world stage. Every day, my Administration is proudly advancing policy that puts our citizens, our values, and our Nation first. When our country is strong, the world is safe—and Americans are secure, prosperous, and free, providing a new era of peace and prosperity worldwide. On the first day of my term—to protect our Nation’s strength, safety, and success—I signed an Executive Order directing my Secretary of State to ensure that all policies, programs, personnel, and operations at the Department of State defend America’s interests and champion the needs of the American people. I also ordered an immediate 90-day pause on foreign aid so my Administration can ensure that every American tax dollar spent on foreign assistance advances our interests, reflects our values, and safeguards our security. As President, I remain steadfastly committed to modernizing our military, bolstering our alliances, and improving our diplomatic capabilities. My Administration is working to restore our military readiness, purge the illegal and divisive DEI ideology from the ranks of our Armed Forces, and deploy a next-generation missile defense shield to protect our Nation. America’s renewed focus on defending America’s standing in the world is putting American workers, farmers, and businesses on a level playing field and eliminating our economic dependence on foreign adversaries. Under my leadership, my Administration is prioritizing domestic production over reckless globalization, which has killed American manufacturing. For far too long, America has traded away good jobs and American workers by allowing foreign nations to flood our country with cheap goods while hollowing out our manufacturing base here at home. Those days are over. We will fight for American workers and American-made goods by standing up to global freeloaders like never before. Now more than ever, we must protect the lives of our citizens and our homeland. Over are the days of putting America last. I look forward to working together to usher in a new era of American strength and pride. Thank you again for writing. May God bless you, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
The viral letter from Donald Trump reads.
Notably, neither any US media portal or organisation nor any Indian officials have confirmed around the authenticity of the letter.
However, Disinfo Lab that claims to investigate information warfare on X, called the letter misleading.
In a series of tweets, Disinfo wrote, "President Donald Trump to Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is circulating on social media. The letter is a strategically designed propaganda stunt to damage US-India relations.
Here's the smoking gun..The letter uses generic White House form language that has been recycled multiple times. Simple Google search reveals exact letter template addressed to multiple recipients. Whether genuine or manipulated, it's being weaponized.
The misleading letter was promoted by dubious websites like deepstatepress. com, clearly showing pro-Khalistani propaganda to claim a manufactured support for Khalistani Referendum by the US and an attempt to target India-US relations.
Some context: Pannun was spotted at Trump's swearing-in ceremony, which he essentially bought his way in and got photos clicked. Pannun pulled off this shenanigan to give an impression of his purported clout to influence the newly-formed Trump administration against India.
Timing matters..Notably, the next “Khalistan referendum” in slated at Washington DC on Aug 17, 2025. This misleading letter is a cheap publicity stunt to create false legitimacy by the Trump administration for their cause.
As usual, this propaganda was led by Pakistan Strategic Forum (PSF) & pro-Khalistani handles to not only strain the US-India relations, but also promote Khalistani propaganda against India from the US and use it as an "evidence" of US support for Khalistan referendums!"
Diclaimer- True Scoop cannot confirm whether the letter authentic or not. It advises you to await for official confirmation either from White House or India's MEA.
