After New Zealand, 'anti-India' outburst surfaces in Australia; know what happened

Thomas Sewell known as a neo-Nazi activist slammed the Australian media for keeping quiet on the issue of the ‘demographic replacement of White Australians'

After a recent controversy where a Nagar Kirtan procession was halted in New Zealand, now similar sentiments towards Indians, especially Punjabis can be seen mirroring in Australia as well. Recently, an ‘anti-India’ outburst was captured on camera and has triggered intense debate on social media.

Australia does not want illegal Indian immigrant: Swell

Thomas Sewell, an Australian extremist, known as a neo-Nazi activist slammed the Australian media for keeping quiet on the issue of the ‘demographic replacement of White Australians’. He says that he does not want Australia to turn into a 'third-world country like India'.

Swell was interacting with the Australian media outside a Melbourne court, where he appeared over charges of 'offensive behavior' at an Indigenous protest camp last year. As per reports, Swell said, “The primary issue in Australia and the whole Western world is white replacement. That is the primary issue. That's the only thing we actually want to talk about.”

Talking further Swell says that the average Australian does not want any illegal Indian immigrants in the country. He adds that he is against the refugees demanding the right to remain.

Reassurance by Australian government

However, the Australian government has rejected Sewell's statement and assured the safety of over 200,000 Punjabi Sikhs and 1 million Indians living in Australia. Home Minister Tony Burke has clarified that those spreading hatred will be prosecuted under the new hate speech law.
