Breaking News: Punjab’s ‘War Against Drugs’ Campaign – Deadline Set for May 31, 2025, with Full Responsibility Assigned to SSPs and CPs

Punjab’s DGP, Gaurav Yadav, has issued clear instructions to police officers, setting a firm deadline of May 31, 2025, to complete the ‘Drug-Free Punjab’ mission. The responsibility for making each area drug-free has been placed directly on the shoulders of SSPs (Superintendents of Police) and CPs (Commissioners of Police), who are required to formulate detailed action plans to eradicate drugs. They must explain how they will eliminate drugs from their areas.
SSPs must present their action plans to the police headquarters, and if any discrepancies are found after the deadline, strict actions will be taken. The DGP has also warned that if drugs are still found after the set deadline, the responsible officers will face serious consequences.
