SSP Fazilka Suspended in Major Corruption Crackdown

In a major action against corruption, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fazilka has been suspended, police sources confirmed. This comes just a day after four police officials from Fazilka police station were caught red-handed by the Vigilance Bureau while accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh. The arrests had already stirred concern, but the suspension of a senior officer signals a deeper rot—and a stronger resolve.

The Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has responded swiftly, making it clear that no one, regardless of rank or position, will be shielded in corruption cases. Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema firmly stated, “Be it big or small, our own or outsider—no one involved in corruption will be spared.”

This bold step highlights the government’s zero-tolerance approach and reinforces its commitment to clean governance, proving that the fight against corruption is not just a slogan but a serious, ongoing campaign.
