The City Beautiful is gearing up for one of its most awaited annual events — the Chandigarh Winter Carnival 2025 — scheduled to take place from November 14 to 16 at the scenic Leisure Valley, Sector 10.
Organised by the Chandigarh Tourism Department, the three-day extravaganza will run daily from 10 am to 10 pm, offering a mix of amusement rides, cultural performances, handicraft and food stalls, and three Mega Musical Nights that promise to light up the city evenings.
The event, known for bringing together families, artists and performers from across the region, celebrates the spirit and creativity of Chandigarh’s diverse community life. From traditional folk music and dance to contemporary entertainment acts, the carnival will offer something for every age group.
Officials from the Tourism Department said the annual celebration is aimed at promoting Chandigarh’s rich cultural heritage while providing a platform for local artisans and performers. Each year, the carnival draws thousands of visitors from across the Tricity, making it one of the most popular events on the city’s tourism calendar.
Set against the lush backdrop of Leisure Valley, the festival will also feature a lively flea market with regional crafts, local delicacies and fun activities for children. With pleasant weather adding to the festive charm, this year’s edition is expected to attract even larger crowds.
"The Chandigarh Carnival, often described as a symbol of the city’s cheerful and creative spirit, continues to strengthen its place as a must-visit event that ushers in the winter season with joy, lights, and music", said Simran, a college student from Chandigarh.
