Students of Class 11 from the School of Eminence, Phase-11, Mohali, undertook an educational exposure visit on Wednesday to several key institutions of the district, including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, SDM Office, Court Complex, Sewa Kendra, Easy Registry, and Plaksha University.

The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to how government offices function and to inspire them to set clear goals for their future careers.

During their interaction at the District Administrative Complex, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, IAS, held an engaging session with the students, encouraging them to define their career paths early and work consistently to achieve their ambitions. “Whether you aspire to be an engineer, doctor, judge, civil servant, lawyer, or scientist, the time to start working towards your goal is now,” she said, motivating them to stay focused and disciplined.

Students Manpreet Singh, Harman Singh, Haseena, Vanshika, Gursharan Kaur, and Amanjot Kaur expressed gratitude to the district administration and the Punjab Government for organizing the visit, calling it a valuable learning experience. They said that their visit to Plaksha University introduced them to cutting-edge technologies like robotics and innovation-based research, inspiring them to pursue higher education at premier institutions.

At the Court Complex, the students witnessed court proceedings and learned about how judicial officers conduct hearings and deliver justice. At the Sewa Kendra, in-charge Manish Kumar informed them about the 436 citizen services available through the centers, including certificates for domicile, caste, birth, and income. He also briefed them about a new state government initiative that enables citizens to avail these services from home by paying a nominal fee of Rs 50 through the 1076 toll-free helpline.

The students were also taken to the Easy Registry office, where officials explained the online registration system designed to ensure transparency and ease in property transactions. SDM Damanpreet Kaur interacted with the students, urging them to stay away from drugs, maintain discipline, and focus on education and career development.

It is noteworthy that the School of Eminence, Phase-11, Mohali, has been adopted by the Deputy Commissioner under the Government Mentorship Program. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Ginni Duggal, District Education Officer (Secondary), Deputy DEO Angrej Singh, and lecturers Anita Sood (English) and Ritu Soni (Physics).
