Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar, Komal Mittal, today released the poster of the Second Edition of the Punjab Equestrian Festival, scheduled to be held from November 14 to 16, 2025, at Meadows, Village Palanpur, Mohali. The poster releasing ceremony organized at the DC Office, Mohali, in the presence of ADC (Rural Development) Sonam Chaudhary, ADC (General) Geetika Singh, and SDM Kharar Divya P.

Highlighting the significance of the event, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab, in collaboration with the District Administration, SAS Nagar, is organizing the Punjab Equestrian Festival to promote the State’s rich equestrian heritage and to position Punjab as a leading destination for tourism and sporting excellence.

“The festival promises to be one of Punjab’s most distinctive celebrations — blending equestrian sport, culture, and lifestyle, and bringing together riders, enthusiasts, and families from across the country,” said DC Komal Mittal.

ADC (Rural Development) and Nodal Officer Sonam Chaudhary, along with Organizing Committee Member Deepinder Singh Brar, shared that a major highlight of this year’s edition will be the Show Jumping Derby — being introduced for the first time ever in India. This challenging event will test the endurance, skill, and coordination of horse and rider over natural obstacles and varied terrain.

The festival will also feature a special horse exhibition showcasing diverse breeds and colours from across India, allowing visitors to experience the country’s rich equine lineage.

Adding a unique charm to the event, a Lifestyle Fashion Show with Horses will merge elegance and tradition, highlighting contemporary fashion alongside the grace and poise of equestrian presentation.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, there will be a public exhibition area with shopping and food stalls, premium outdoor and equestrian brands, and stalls by self-help groups, creating a vibrant carnival-like experience for all attendees.

“The Punjab Equestrian Festival aims to celebrate Punjab’s deep-rooted bond with horses while promoting tourism, sport, and cultural pride on a grand stage,” added Deepinder Singh Brar.
