Pakistan’s Parliament has passed a new legislation that would subject repeated sex offenders convicted of multiple rapes to chemical castration, which is brought in to accelerate convictions and implement harsher sentences. Pakistan President Arif Alvi had approved an anti-rape ordinance last year. Drugs are used to decrease sexual activity in chemical castration, a legal way to punish rapists in countries including South Korea, Poland, Czech Republic.
