The comparison comes largely because of the timing of the release and the video’s protest-heavy storyline.
Among the most noticeable visuals are crowds of young people carrying messages such as “Save Our Future” and “Our Future, Our Fight.” Another emotional sequence shows a young girl approaching a policeman with a white rose, before the officer embraces her.
The imagery has led sections of social media to interpret the video as a commentary on student protests, although there is no confirmation from Diljit that the video is specifically based on the CJP agitation.
