Mardaani 3 was released in theaters on January 30 and has been buzzing among fans ever since its release. Fans and critics are giving their own reviews of Mardaani 3. What has raised fans' eyebrows is the fact that the makers have confirmed that Mardaani 3 is inspired by true events. Hence, many are digging deep into Mardaani 3 True Story or Mardaani 3 Real Story.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, Mardaani 3 revolves around IPS officer Shivani Shivaji Roy who is trying to solve the case of missing girl children aged between 8 to 11.
This time Shivani Shivaji Roy joins the NIA to investigate and dismantle a ruthless, organised crime syndicate involved in the trafficking of young girls through the "beggar mafia".
The film begins with Shivani Roy coming across a high-priority case after Ambassador Sahu's daughter is kidnapped along with another underprivileged girl.
The answer is no. There is no reported case that says that an Ambassador's daughter was kidnapped. Hence, it can be said that the element of adding an Ambassador's daughter getting kidnapped is to just add some curiosity in the movie.
However, there are separate reports of missing girls. For example, a report was published in 2025 by NDTV in which it stated that 145 children, including 93 girls have gone missing In Mumbai in 7 months.
The report stated that between June and December, a total of 145 children went missing from Mumbai, including 93 girls.
Of the 82 cases registered between November 1 and December 6, older teenagers were the most affected, accounting for more than half of the missing persons. This includes 41 girls and 13 boys up to the age of 18.
