Begum of bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan has began shooting for her 68th film. Earlier this year, Kareena took to social media to announce her first collaboration with ace filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and South star Prithviraj Sukumaran. And The movie is Daayra.
The film marks the first time these two powerhouses will be seen together on screen. "Daayra" is produced by Vineet Jain and co-written by Meghna Gulzar herself, along with Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal.
The plot of Daayra revolves around the complexities ingrained in today's society; it is a hard-hitting confrontation with some pressing and unsettling truths of recent times.
Daayra is a crime-drama thriller that unravels the conflict between crime, punishment, and justice, with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying intense roles.
Meghna, known for delivering films such as Raazi and Talvar, reunites with Junglee Pictures for the third time for Daayra. The crime drama features Kareena and Prithviraj in the lead roles. The film taps into the pulse of the people as it confronts the topical and diabolical realities unfolding in society today and explores the age-old paradox of crime, punishment, and justice. Daayra marks Meghna’s next directorial venture after Sam Bahadur (2023). Co-written by Yash and Sima alongside Meghna, the film is currently in pre-production.
