Comedian Rohan Joshi has hilariously found himself in a scheduling clash with Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, and his response is anything but serious.

Rohan Joshi ‘Apologises’ to Diljit

In a video, Joshi announced what he called an “official apology” to Diljit after realising that his comedy show in Paris is scheduled for the same day as Diljit’s concert — August 28, Friday.

Joshi joked that he usually tries not to disturb the schedules of young and upcoming artists, before adding, “In this world, titans must clash.”

9,000 vs 100: Joshi Does the Math

Joshi said he looked up the details of Diljit’s Paris concert and noted the massive difference in their expected audiences. He pointed out that Diljit’s show is being held at Adidas Arena, with a capacity of around 9,000 people for the event, while his own comedy show would have an audience of roughly 100.

Taking the joke even further, Joshi calculated that even if his show sells out completely, it would have only around a 0.9% impact on Diljit’s concert.

‘I’m Sure He’ll Understand’

Joshi then said he was confident that an artist of Diljit’s stature would understand the scheduling coincidence. His tongue-in-cheek apology ended with him saying he was sorry for holding his Paris show on the same day as Diljit’s concert.

A Comedy Clash That’s Taking the Internet’s Attention

While there is no apparent serious rivalry between the two, Joshi’s self-deprecating take on the scheduling clash has made the situation an entertaining social-media moment.

With 100 comedy seats versus thousands of concert-goers, Joshi has already made it clear who the “titan” is in this particular Paris showdown.
