Bihar is poised to take a massive railway gift this year. The Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced that the state will soon be given a new Vande Bharat Express and four Amrit Bharat trains. This will make travel faster and more comfortable for commuters. The announcement is notably important as it comes barely months ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
For the festival season, the rail minister has declared that 12,000 special trains will run throughout the country during Diwali and Chhath. This will allow lakhs of people to arrive home in time for celebrations. The states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, whose trains are filled to the brim during festivals, will be the ones to avail the most benefits from this effort.
The Vande Bharat Express is renowned for its speed and modern amenities, while Amrit Bharat trains have been made budget-friendly but not compromising on comfort with better seating arrangements, cleaner toilets, and improved interior.
With these new trains, train journeys during the peak festive season are most likely to become much simpler. For Bihar, the new trains are not only all about better traveling, but they also signify the Centre's move on development in an election year.
