

As the counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly elections began on Friday, the early trends by the Election Commission gives a clear rather decisive lead for the NDA and setback for Mahagathbandhan. Till 10 AM, the poll panel showed NDA leading on 127 seats while the grand alliance taking lead in 42 constituencies.
The highlight of the early trends is JD(U) soaring to top spot and emerging as the single largest party.
Notably, Bihar Elections 2025 saw multiple stars entering the political frays and breaking the social media. A few of them are- Bhojpuri star Khesarilal Yadav, singer Maithili Thakur, and Bahubali-turned-politician- Anant Singh. These three names hardly need any introduction who follow Bihar Politics.
Bhojpuri star Khesarilal Yadav fought Bihar Elections 2025 on RJD's ticket, Maithili Thakur was backed by BJP, and Anant Singh is fighting from Nitish Kumar's party- JDU.

RJD candidate Khesarilal Yadav has fought the election from Chapra constituency. However, as per Election Commission of India (ECI), Khesarilal Yadav aka Shatrughan Yadav is trailing. The Bhojpuri star is trailing by a slight 974 votes. BJP's Chhoti Kumari is leading from the constituency. Only 1 round of counting has been updated.
Bhojpuri folk singer Maithili Thakur is leading from Alinagar constituency. In the three rounds of counting, Thakur is leading by 4113 votes, while RJD's Binod Mishra is number 2 on the list.
Don-turned-politician Anant Singh is enjoying a massive lead after 5-rounds of counting. JDU's Anant Singh is leading by 5546 votes from Mokama constituency and RJD's Veena Devi is on number 2 spot.
