After months of waiting, India is all set to get it's first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off Vande Bharat Sleeper Train on January 17 that will run between Guwahati in Assam and Howrah in West Bengal.
In the meantime, a post is going viral on Facebook that claims that Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Delhi to Srinagar via Punjab is also on the cards
The post claims Delhi to Kashmir Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will cover over 800 kilometers in under 13 hours.
It further suggests that the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will depart from New Delhi at 7:00 PM. It will arrive in Srinagar by 8:00 AM the next day. Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will have stoppages at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Banihal.
There will be AC 3-tier, 2-tier, and First AC in the train. Furthermore, ticket prices are expected to start at Rs 2,000.
As of now, Indian Railways has not made any official statement regarding Delhi to Kashmir Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Furthermore, the timing and stoppages are also not been divulged by any credible platforms.
Currently, India's Railway Ministry is preparing to launch it's first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train and that too from Assam to Howrah.
However, in the future, the Indian Railways may run Vande Bharat Sleeper from Delhi to Kashmir. Still, as of now, no official statement or any reports suggest that Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will soon start.
Even a few users commented on the viral social media post. A user wrote, "Old story making rounds. If the Central Government intends, the direct rail service from Kashmir to Kanyakumari can be initiated by the evening."
"2027 me chalage (It will run in 2027)", wrote another user.
