Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently became the centre of online discussion after videos of her leaving Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy theatre surfaced on social media where she was seen wearing a simple kurta along with a mangalsutra and green bangles which led many fans to wonder whether she had secretly tied the knot and the videos quickly went viral online with several social media users speculating about her personal life however it has now been clarified that the actress was not married and was instead shooting for a film project in Mumbai.
According to reports Kangana had stepped out after completing a shoot and did not get time to change out of her costume before leaving the location and sources close to the actress also said that she was not aware paparazzi photographers were waiting outside and therefore could not explain the look at that moment.
Putting all rumours to rest Kangana herself addressed the issue through her Instagram Stories on Friday while sharing a clip with text “Is Kangana Ranaut secretly married? The actor was spotted with mangalsutra and green bangles” the actress said that she had been receiving several calls over the matter.
Responding to the speculation Kangana wrote “I am filming in and around the city every single day, some one clicked this random picture with character make up and now I am getting so many phone calls but what is the big deal about the married woman look? Actors play all kinds of roles, I won't marry secretly I promise.”
The clarification ended the rumours and confirmed that the look was part of a character she is currently portraying on screen and Kangana also shared another update from her shoot location while talking about the ongoing heatwave conditions and the actress also spoke about the difficulties of shooting outdoors during extremely high temperatures and referring to discussions around the heatwave she wrote “News anchors from their AC studios are complaining about the temperature and heat wave outside, what about those like us who are filming outdoors with loads of added lights and enclosed spaces, ha ha stop complaining guys, life is great for as long as it's challenging you feel alive if it's easy and predictable it's like death, happy summer.”
The latest development has also confirmed that Kangana has officially started work on ‘Queen 2’ the sequel to her successful 2013 film Queen while her character in the original film was not married the recent appearance has sparked discussions that the sequel may show a different phase in the character’s life.
Reports suggest that production of ‘Queen 2’ began toward end of April this year and unlike the original film which was mainly shot in Paris the sequel is expected to be filmed across different locations in India and along with that the upcoming film is also expected to continue exploring themes of self-discovery, independence and personal growth which were widely appreciated by audiences in the first movie.
