Aircraft Makes Contact While Being Parked
An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while it was being positioned for parking at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning.
The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 225, which was being moved into Bay No. 06 at around 9:02 am. The aircraft involved was registered as VT-NOG.
Passengers and Crew Safely Deboarded
According to IndiGo, all passengers and crew members on board were safe and no injuries were reported following the incident.
Passengers were safely deboarded from the aircraft using manual stairs after the aircraft came into contact with the VDGS pole.
Cause Yet to Be Determined
The airline said the circumstances surrounding the incident will be examined by the appropriate authorities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
IndiGo stressed that no conclusion has been drawn regarding the cause of the incident at this stage. The exact circumstances will be established only after the completion of the inquiry.

Despite the incident, airport operations at Srinagar remained normal. Flight arrivals and departures continued as scheduled, with no disruption to regular airport operations reported.
