Famous South Indian actor and FilmmakerPratap Prothen, was found dead at his Chennai home aged 70. The incredible actorhas won Lakhs of heart from his work in the Malayalam film industry. Just a yearafter his debut in 1978 he won Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Malayalam forhis role in, ‘THAKAR’. Pratap gave hit movies one after the other in his careerand kept on consolidating his fan base.
Prothen married twice, in the year1985, he fell in love with the actor Raadhika Sarathkumar on the sets of ‘Meendum’.But one year after they parted their ways. Years later, the actor-director tiedthe knot with Amala Satyanath, after two decades of togetherness the couple gotdivorced in 2012. Prothen is survived by his daughter Keya Pothen.

Congress Kerala also tweeted paying theirshare of homage to the veteran Actor-Director.
