One person lost his life in a horrific road accident near Downtown Hotel on Nakodar Road, Jalandhar. According to the information, a garbage picker was returning from his work when two youngsters on a motorbike coming at high speed hit him. The garbage picker died on the spot. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased to the mortuary of the Civil Hospital. The police have taken the accused to the police station and it is being said that both of them were intoxicated.
