Ashneer Grover, co-founder and managing director of Fintech company BharatPe resigned on Tuesday. This new twist has come after the tussle that has been going on for the last one and a half months. After the controversy started in January, Ashneer had to go on a long leave.

His wife Madhuri Jain Grover was recently terminated by the company. After this, Ashneer Grover has now resigned by writing a long letter. In his resignation, he made many emotional things and also challenged the existing board.

People want to damage my image as well as the company

Grover wrote at the beginning of the letter, "I am writing this with sadness because I have to leave the company that I formed. However, I am proud of the fact that today BharatPe is the leader in the world of fintech. Since the beginning of this year, my family and I have been implicated in baseless things. Whoever there are such people in the company, they want to tarnish my image. They are pretending to protect the company, but they also want to harm Bharat."

Have a spotless professional career: Grover

He also remembered his achievements and struggles in his resignation. Mr. Grover said that he has studied at big institutes like IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad. He wrote, 'I was born in the middle class, that's why I know the value of honesty. My professional career has also been spotless and in my career, I have created two unicorn startups Grofers and Bharat. I have inspired the youth of the country to set up their own business and have given employment to lakhs of people.

Grover - took care of the company like a 'baby'

Recalling the days of BharatPe, Grover told how he grew the brand by taking on established companies. He said in the letter, "I have taken care of BharatPe like a baby. When Bharat entered the UPI space, giants like Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay were already established."

Even after this, with the help of the talented team, I took BharatPe forward and this company emerged as a leader in the industry. For the first time in India, a fintech company got the small finance bank license and later we tried to save the hard-earned money of the depositors of PMC Bank.

This challenge was given to the existing board of the company

At the end of his resignation, Grover challenges the company's board, accusing him of misbehavior. He wrote, "You think my usefulness is out. This trend has been seen that after the success of the startup, he is made a villain to oust the founder. The same thing happened to me. You will check though. You are not going to get a single offence against me. As far as I am concerned, the value that I have created, you guys should show it by making half of it. I have created BharatPe and taken it to the present stage. No one can snatch this identity from me."
