Condolences poured in from all around after it was confirmed that Yash Chopra's wife Pamela Chopra passed away on April 20. She was 85. Pamela was a singer and was also involved in the music of many films that were made under the Yash Chopra banner. She is also known for her work as a writer, dress designer, and co-producer in many YRF movies. as Pamela is the mother of Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. She is also the mother-in-law of Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji. Pamela was last seen in Netflix's documentary revolving around the Yash Raj Films on Netflix.
Reports, Pamela was reportedly admitted to Lilavati hospital for the past 15 Days and was on a ventilator. Her health deteriorated and she passed away this morning. Pamela reportedly died due to age-related illness.

In an earlier interview with Karan Johar, Yash Chopra (when alive) opened up that distributors weren't convinced about his directorial Daag: A Poem of Love, which was also his first film as a producer. "He didn't sleep for many nights before the release of Daag. And then, Yash's first film was a hit. He didn't believe that his first movie was declared a hit", Pamela says. She adds, "Yash was probably the most modest person in the world. If he got an award or an honour the first thing he would tell me was, 'Do you really think I deserve this?'"
Pamela speaks about how she attended the music sittings for Yash Chopra's films. "Music is my passion. Yash knew that and he would invite me to attend the music sittings. Slowly, I became a part of that group".
