As per latest information received, one lakh Indians who went to Canada have become permanent residents of country. Also reports reveal that this year 4 lakh more people have gone to Canada from India.
Also, while announcing its immigration level plan for 2023-2025 last week, Canada said it plans to welcome a record of 5,00,000 new permanent residents. As per latest statistics Canada predicts that the country's immigrant population will increase by 34 percent by 2041.
In the 'Labour Force Survey Data 2022' released by Statistics Canada, it has been said that the employment rate of immigrants who came to Canada in the last five years was 70.7 percent, which is higher than October 2019. According to the 2021 census data on immigration, 23 percent of Canada's population is immigrants.
Reports reveal that at least 119,000 full-time positions were filled during this period, increasing the full-time employment rate by 3 percent compared to October 2021.
The survey further showed that most of the new jobs were in Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
