11 miners trapped for 14 days, rescued in China's Shandong

One of the miners was extremely weak and unresponsive. Rescuers wrapped him in the blanket and took him to a hospital.

As per China's state broadcaster, China has rescued its 11 miners after they were trapped due to the underground explosion. They were rescued after 14 days today, January 24.

Within sometime 10 other miners were rescued from another section of the mine as per a report published in Reuters news agency. Before leaving the site, the miners were seen wearing a black cloth on their eyes. They were rushed to the hospital.

According to several reports, 22 miners were trapped in a 2,000 feet deep Hushan mine due to a blast in Qixia on January 10. Qixia is a major gold producing region under the Shandong province.
