16 year old boy from Rajasthan suffers 70% burns while taking selfie

Kota: The trend of taking selfies has once again proven to be life threatening, as a 16 year old boy named Rahul Patwa in Bundi Sumerganj Mandi railway station on Thursday, suffered 70% burns after coming in contact with a high-tension wire while trying to take a selfie.

As per Kota Government Railway Police, Rahul, a resident of Jaipur, climbed atop a TTM at Sumergan Mmandi railway station on Wednesday for clicking selfie. “Just when the youngster was clicking the selfie, he touched a high-tension electricity wire. There was a major spark and he got electrocuted,” said Kota Railway Police.

Rahul then as rushed to the Indergarh railway hospital in Bundi district with 70% burns for treatment. However, he was later referred to the Government Maharao Bhim Singh in Kota where his treatment is on.

As per Head constable Rambabu of GRP Kota the teen lives in Vidhyadhar Nagar in Jaipur but since he is not in a condition to give statement so it is not clear as to how and why he reached Sumergan Mandi.
