216-Feet-Tall structure of Saint Ramanujacharya has more budget than Ayodhya’s Ram Temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation the 'Statue of Equality' on the outskirts of Hyderabad on February 5.
 
The 216-feet tall 'Statue of Equality' commemorates the 11th-century Bhakti Saint Sri Ramanujacharya, who promoted the idea of equality in all aspects of living including faith, caste and creed.
 
The statue has come up at Sri Ramanujacharya Ashram at Mucchintal in Rangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

 
Mounted on a 54-ft high base building, named 'Bhadra Vedi', the statue is made of 'panchaloha', a combination of five metals: gold, silver, copper, brass, and zync and is among one of the tallest metallic statues (at 216 ft) in sitting position, in the world.
 
The building has floors devoted to a Vedic digital library and research centre, ancient Indian texts, a theatre, an educational gallery detailing many works of Sri Ramanujacharya, who promoted the idea of equality in all aspects of living including faith, caste and creed.
 

It was named Statue of Equality by the trust. The statue has been conceptualised by Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami of Sri Ramanujacharya Ashram.Saint Ramanujacharya fought tirelessly for social equality. He opened the doors of temple for people of all caste and religion. He was the one who inspired ancient poets like Annamacharya, Bhakt Ramdas, Thyagaraja, Kabir, and Meerabai.

The project is believed to have been completed at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore that was funded entirely by donations. Its budget is more than Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.
