225 students, 4 teachers tested positive for Covid-19 in Maharashtra

Now the government is coming up with new measures.

Maharashtra is already battling with rising Covid-19 cases. 225 students and four teachers have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Washim district of Maharashtra. Total number of cases from only one school clocked to 229.

Reportedly, the students are mostly from Yavatmal and Amravati. 8,800 cases were reported from Maharashtra on Wednesday. It was a massive jump in one day.

Now the government is coming up with new measures. The police is also trying to ensure strict measures to keep Covid-19 at bay.

Covid has already been in news due to violation of Covid-19 guidelines as people had gathered in large numbers near a temple. This gathering was allegedly done by the supporters of Shiv Sena minister Sanjay Rathod.

Udhhav Thackeray, Chief Minister has ordered a probe and sought inquiry into it and religious, political and social gatherings have been restricted in the state.

80 deaths were reported from Maharashtra on Tuesday.
