3 times when India suffered 'cowardly attack' during Independence Day

With happiness comes a fear that some planning might be taking place that can destroy the joy of people within seconds.

Independence-Day 15-August India

India celebrates its merriment on 15 August as they got free from the rule of the British in the year 1947. With happiness comes a fear that some planning might be taking place that can destroy the joy of people within seconds.

India, every year on Independence is under high alert as it might become a target of the horrific planning of different terrorist organizations.

India on Raksha Bandhan and a few days before Independence lost 3 soldiers were martyred and 2 injured due to an Uri- type attack at the Indian Army’s base in the Darhal area of Rajouri. Some sister lost their brothers and the country lost some of its brave heart soldiers.

This is not the first time that terrorist organizations have tried to disturb the peace of the country. Back in the year, 2003 Mumbai Bombing happened which devastated the whole of India. Twin car bombings took place in August in Mumbai that killed 54 and injured 244 people. One blast took place at Gateway of India and the other was done at Zaveri Bazaar.

Gradually when the people were coming out of the shock of this incident another happened the next year on Independence Day.

Students and their parents were gathered for the parade at the Dhemaji College ground when a blast took the lives of at least 18 people and left many people injured. On the day of the blast, many children lost their parents while many parents lost the most precious gift, they could have ever received in their life i.e. their children.

This year as well, India is on high alert and all the forces are ready to fail any plan that can lead to disturbance of peace in the country.

Every citizen of the country is hopeful that this time they will be able to celebrate the 75th Independence Day with full enthusiasm and exuberance.
