As many as 336 EVM machines and control units have beenreached for the Municipal Council elections on Friday night.
The EVMs and Control Units were kept at strong room inGovernment Polytechnic College, Ladowali road by the team led by ADCDevelopment Vishesh Sarangal amid spine chilling and dense fog.
ADC said that elections are going to be held inJalandhar's six Municipal Council Kartarpur, Phillaur, Nakodar, Nurmahal,Alawalpur, Adampur and Nagar Panchayats in Mehatpur and Lohian Khas.
He said that these elections are going to be held in 110wards of six councils and two nagar panchayats.
He informed a team had gone Gurdaspur to get 336 EVMmachines and control units for these elections in the morning, which wasreceived at 8.30 pm.
He lauded the effort of all the staff that despite densefog and bone chilling cold, all have shown great spirit.
Prominent among present occasion included ChiefAgriculture Officer Surinder Singh, ADO West Arun Kohli, Jaswant Singh,Inderjeet Singh, Sudhir Sharma, Karan Sharma, Surinder and Sumit Sharma.
