A great opportunity for the youth to get jobs in the health sector. The health  and wellness center of Jharkhand provides 660 vacancies for community health officer (CHO). The Jharkhand combined board of examination issued a notification for admission to the bridge course program from January to July 2021 session. 

The candidates who hold a degree in GNM, BAMS or B.Sc. in Nursing and wish to become a community health officer can apply for the bridge course program admission test being conducted by the Jharkhand combined board examination. Apart, from the education qualification, the candidate must have appeared in the bridge course program. All the candidates can apply by visiting the official website https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/. The bridge course program will be done after the test.

In the notification issued, it has been said after passing the Jharkhand combined examination board exam, the candidate will have to the bridge course program. After completing the bridge course program, the availability of the number of posts of community health officer will be checked. Based on that number of vacant posts, Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Committee shall be appointed. This appointment will be done on a contact basis. The selected candidates will be appointed for 1 year. The candidates with better performance in work will be given an extension. 

The upcoming examination will have three papers, the first one will be based on Hindi English knowledge. The candidate has to score 30% marks on the paper. This paper will be qualifying only. These marks won’t be used while preparing the merit list. The 2nd paper will be based upon a prescribed tribe and regional language for which also the candidate has to score 30%. The marks of the second paper will be used in the merit list. 

The 3rd paper will be the technical aptitude and general studies exam. The preparation of the merit list will be based on paper 2 and paper 3. The third paper will have about 150 questions out of which 100 questions will be on technical subjects, 20 questions from general studies, 20 questions from general math and the remaining 10 from general science. 

The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The 1st shift will have paper one and two which will be taken combined for 1 hour 40 minutes. Paper 3 will be conducted in the second shift and it will be for two and a half hours.
